Flash and Math

It’s just about time for some Flash applets around here!

Put simply this applet is about light, optics, and image resolution. More specifically it is about the intensity of the Fraunhofer diffraction pattern of a circular aperture (Airy Disks).  Well, I guess more simply it is about how waves multiply.  Enjoy!

EDIT: I’ve been messing around with the applet and it seems to chug along at times.  So I’m going back under the hood to streamline it some more.
